Client Reviews

“Before finding Amy walks were an absolute nightmare, sheer panic would set in as soon I laid eyes on another dog knowing full well Bueno would react, barking and lunging like crazy. Since working with Amy that has all changed, she’s not only helped to changed Buenos emotions but has also helped with my own mindset and the way I deal with situations that helps him. 1000% recommend for anyone struggling with their dogs 🐾❤️.”

“Amy is a breath of fresh air in a world where training and understanding your dog can be difficult and overwhelming. She’s patient, always on hand for support and guidance (even outside of our sessions) and non-judgemental. Thanks to Amy, my bond with Buttons grows constantly and nothing makes me happier than seeing our progress..”

— Aby & Buttons the Cockapoo

“Boy am I glad I made that TikTok asking for advice with reactivity, you happened to find it and message me a year ago!

Pepper is a COMPLETELY different dog, I couldn’t go for a walk without her barking, lunging, screaming to another dog in the distance let alone up close.. Now, she’s off lead, running around in the woods and can walk passed a dog in close proximity without a peep at all, she’s living her best dog life on walks and it’s all down to you!

THANKYOU Aunty Amy🩷🩷🩷.”

Book a discovery call

What is the discovery call?

This is a relaxed 30-minute chat where we talk about you, your dog, and what’s currently feeling hard.

No pressure.
No sales scripts.

We’ll cover:

💗 Your dog’s behaviour (reactivity, barking, lunging, anxiety, etc.)
💗 Your goals (what you actually want life to look like with your dog)
💗 Whether one of my programs is a good fit for you

By the end of the call, you’ll have:

✨ a clearer understanding of why your dog behaves the way they do
✨ an honest idea of what it will take to change it
✨ a recommendation on which program would suit you best

If we’re a good fit - amazing.
If not, that’s totally okay too.

Who this call IS for:

✔ Owners ready to put the work in
✔ People who want real behaviour change (not quick fixes)
✔ Those open to guidance and feedback
✔ Small reactive dog owners who are DONE struggling alone

Who this call is NOT for:

🚫 Anyone looking for a magic wand
🚫 People who don’t want to practise between sessions

know me

Hi, my name is Amy!
I am a huge small dog advocate and love to spend my days training small dogs & their humans.

I own a pack of 6 dogs! One cockapoo, one dachshund, three chihuahua’s and a mix breed. They’re all under 5 years old, and most of them have been rehomed by me due to behaviour issues.
You’ll meet them on your sessions as they help other dogs learn how to be a dog :)

The reason I set up The Social Dog Trainer, is there is SO many dog training business’s out there… but no one seems to specialise in small dogs. When I first had Marley, I wanted a happy go lucky dog that trusted me and listened to me. I struggled to find a dog trainer that didn’t have a large breed dog, and who didn’t specialise in obedience.

In my spare time (lol) I love to read psychological thrillers and run. I’ve somehow ended up running London Marathon in April 2026…
